Amber Demo Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 24, 2026

Amber Demo is operated by Shanghai CosmosRaven Network Technology Co., Ltd, based in China ("we", "us"). This policy covers Amber Demo and, separately, support and privacy correspondence you choose to send us about it. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

Your interactions with Amber Demo

Amber Demo saves conversation history, memories, and settings on your computer. If Steam Cloud synchronization is available and enabled, Steam also stores copies, as explained below.

When you use our hosted AI service, the Demo sends the content needed to generate replies, maintain memories, and provide proactive interactions to our servers and AI service providers. This may include your messages, relevant history and memories, interaction events, and local time. Direct connections to an API you configure are covered by the Custom API Privacy Notice.

Our hosted AI processing uses zero data retention (ZDR). Neither we nor our AI service providers persist your AI inputs or outputs in cloud storage or use them to train models. Content is processed temporarily and is not retained after processing. This commitment applies to hosted AI processing; it does not cover Steam Cloud saves, information you choose to email us, or custom API providers.

Depending on the features available and your settings:

You can change these permissions in the Demo's settings. Turning a feature off stops new collection through it. Information already in your saved conversations or memories may still be used as AI context.

Temporary service records and operational logs

We temporarily process Steam authentication information, including your Steam ID, to verify access. To enforce daily usage limits, we keep a pseudonymous identifier derived from your Steam ID and a daily usage count only in server memory. These daily records expire at the end of each UTC day and are never written to persistent storage. We do not create persistent Demo accounts, Credits balances, or purchase and billing records about you.

We keep limited operational logs for troubleshooting and security, such as request times, durations, outcomes, error categories, and request or session identifiers. These logs contain no IP addresses, Steam IDs, account identifiers, or AI interaction content. We retain them only as long as needed, for no more than six months from creation. Network providers separately process connection information as described in our provider list.

Client logs stay on your computer. The Demo has no feature that uploads logs, crash reports, or usage analytics to us. We receive diagnostic files only if you choose to send them, for example by email.

Local data, Steam Cloud, and support emails

Service providers and international processing

Our providers may process information outside your country. Their identities, roles, and international processing arrangements are described in Service Providers and International Processing, which forms part of this policy.

We share information only as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. We use encryption for communications over public networks and restrict access to service records.

Your privacy rights

We process information to provide the service you request, meet legal obligations, and, where applicable law permits, pursue our legitimate interests in security, troubleshooting, and preventing abuse. Where processing requires consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights. We may need to verify that the relevant Steam account belongs to you.

Because we do not retain your AI interaction content, we cannot retrieve your conversation history or memories from our servers.

Age requirements

Amber Demo is for users aged 16 or older, or any higher minimum age required by local law. If you believe someone below the applicable minimum age has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it and delete information as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and its effective date. Where required by law, we will give notice of changes and obtain any necessary consent before they take effect.
